One 72-hour licence costs $14. It remains cheaper than the $25 annual base for one continuous weekend.

Annual timing matters: annual coverage expires at the end of February. A licence purchased late in the year does not continue for 365 days after purchase.
Family, Married Couple and Youth Cost Rules
Resident Married Annual: $40
Two separate resident annual base licences cost $50. The $40 married combination saves $10 and allows each spouse an individual possession limit.

Children Younger Than 16
A nonresident child may fish under a licensed parent or guardian without an individual licence. Fish kept by the child then count toward the adult’s possession limit.
Use the $68 family product or the child’s $5 youth licence when the child needs a separate possession limit.
Common family mistake: “no individual licence required” does not automatically mean “separate fish limit.” Decide how retained fish will be counted before buying.

A portable shelter generally needs a licence when it is left unattended between midnight and one hour before sunrise or when the person is not within 200 feet of it. All nonportable shelters on inland and Canadian border waters generally need licensing.

Lifetime Does Not Mean “No Annual Action”
The holder must obtain the current annual authorization at no base fee during each year the lifetime privilege will be used. Required stamps and specialty products can remain separate.
